Differences between Static Cooling, Fan Assisted Cooling,
and Dynamic Cooling System?

Procool Static Cooling System

Static Cooling System = Direct Cooling System

Use skin evaporator inside the foaming body (inaccessible), the evaporator will cool down the inside cabinet first directly, then cold energy will be conducted into the inside air.

This type of cooling way is normally used for small size drink coolers or freezers. For example, our electric can coolers and 25 L glass door drink fridge T-25.

Below are our commercial fridges and freezers that use the static cooling system:

Procool Fan Assisted Cooling System

Fan Assisted Cooling System = Static / Direct Cooling System + Inside Fan

Built with same skin evaporator inside foaming body or roll bond evaporator, so cold conduction is from evaporator to inside cabinet then to inside air. But added with an extra fan inside the cabinet to force air ventilation, to distribute the cold air inside and achieve an even temperature for each corner. Pull-down time to below 10 °C is 40 minutes for the empty load; and 24 hours for the full load.

Fan assisted cooling is suitable for the medium size. Our single door upright display coolers (from 200 L to 450 L) are built with such.

Below are our commercial fridges and freezers that use fan assisted cooling system:

Procool Dynamic Cooling System

Dynamic Cooling System = Ventilating Cooling System = Fan Cooling System

With fin evaporator (accessible, assembled inside the cabinet, behind the inside fan cover), and inside fan to distribute the cold energy directly from evaporator to inside cabinet. Pull-down time to below 10 °C is 20 minutes for the empty load; and 18 hours for the full load.

By lab tests, to guarantee the cooling performance and have a better span life for the refrigeration equipment, for any refrigerator size above 500 L, should use dynamic cooling that is why we only have dynamic cooling for single door display chiller 550 L CS-550 and 660 L glass door refrigerator CS-660, let alone our double door display chillers.

Below are our commercial fridges and freezers that use the dynamic cooling system:

Cooling Speed: dynamic cooling > fan assisted cooling > static cooling
Cost: dynamic cooling > fan assisted cooling > static cooling

Choosing Which Cooling System Depends On

  • What is your ambient temperature like where you put our fridges or freezers?
  • If you have any special using of the product? For example, door opening too frequently per day; or you need the inside stuff to go a little bit lower in temperature?
