EPREL
European Products Registry for Energy Labelling
What is EPREL?
EPREL = European Products Registry for Energy Labelling
Background: Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the council of 4 July 2017 setting a framework for energy labeling and repealing Directive 2010/30/EU (Text with EEA relevance) requires the European Commission (EC) to establish a product database where all new products (including second hand imported products), covered by a delegated act (Energy Labelling regulation) have to be registered before they are placed on the EU market for the first time.
Main Products: 1) Air conditioners; 2) Cooking appliances(domestic); 3) Dishwashers (household); 4) Heaters (space and water heaters); 5) Lamps; 6) Local space heaters; 7) Refrigerating appliances (household); 8) Refrigeration (professional/direct sales function); 9) Solid fuel boliers; 10) Televisions; 11) Tumble dryers; 12) Ventilation units (residential); 13) Washing machines (household)
When Will EPREL Be Executed?
Which Countries Need EPREL?
Market: EU(27 member states), EEA(30 European Economic Areas)
What Is the Required Grade for Commercial Refrigerators?
The lowest request for EPREL is Class G.
EEI data corresponding to each level A ~ G
EEI data is calculated based on product power consumption, test environment data and volume.
Energy Efficiency Class | EEI |
---|---|
A | EEI < 10 |
B | 10 ≤ EEI < 20 |
C | 20 ≤ EEI < 35 |
D | 35 ≤ EEI < 50 |
E | 50 ≤ EEI < 65 |
F | 65 ≤ EEI < 80 |
G | EEI ≥ 80 |
What’re the Standard Levels of Our Products?
Most PROCOOL refrigeration products reach Class G~F (Can Cooler could reach to Class B ) based on the current standard configurations.
Can Our Products Be Customized According to Different Grades?
Yes.
If you have any special requirements about the energy consumption efficiency class, we could upgrade the product configurations to reach the class according to your request. There will be an extra cost for upgrading.
